Local artist, Monica Vega, helps build Dia de Los Muertos Altars around the community.* She will be on the Mitchell Hamline campus on Friday, November 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (CT) to lead us in building an altar outside the DEI office. She will lead us in the steps of creating one and provide information about the significance of each item. You will also have the option of painting a sugar skull, which Monica makes. 

Traditional Dia de los Muertos refreshments, such as "pan de muerto" and hot chocolate, will be provided.

 * You can also visit the Days of the Dead Community Altar at the MN State Capital between November 1 and November 13, 2022.
